Recent Arco commercials are giving me a feeling of “too cute by half” or something. Probably just me. But I don’t think I like them. ---

I know the “TV Dad” has been mentioned. But that guy with the huge grin is growing on me. He is certainly affable and should indeed be a TV Dad. And he has a cute puppy. ---

I kind of go as fast as is safe, and steer around the holes when I find myself in that situation in my '99 Cherokee. I treated it that way when it was new, too. My wife’s last ex-husband bought a new pickup, but wouldn’t carry anything in it because he didn’t want to scratch the bed. ---

The first thing my wife did when she bought her 2000 Tacoma was to have a bed liner sprayed in. I miss that truck. ---

I have always called those vehicles an “I can’t pay child support” truck, because that is the demographic that drives them. Making a decision like that without consulting the spouse is a no-no, to put it mildly. ---

I don’t like [this commercial](https://www.ispot.tv/ad/bmen/kfc-mac-and-cheese-bowls-big-bowl-jingle-order-on-the-app) for a KFC product that combines chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and more cheese in a bowl. It looks really unappetizing. Kind of gross actually. ---

FWIW, I have no desire for a large truck. I do miss my wife’s [2000 Tacoma](https://imgur.com/a/remphay), but new Tacomas are the size of Tundras. I wouldn’t mind having my ['46 Willys CJ2A](https://www.thecj2apage.com/1946_willys_cj2a/jw46.html) back though. [Yes, that was mine.] In reality though, I’d rather have my [Porsche 911SC](https://imgur.com/zc0F1ed) back. ---
