There’s an incessantly repeated ad for some sort of Peyronie’s Disease treatment. Geez, guys, wait until Bill Clinton is in the ground before treating him as a forgotten figure in our nation’s history… ---

I keep getting Lufthansa ads on YouTube for some reason that feature a small child attempting to eat what may have been ice cream before he decided to smear it all over his face. There are repeated close-ups of the disgusting glop all around his mouth. Is this considered to be cute??? It makes me want to heave. ---

These seems to be a repeated meme around toddlers - that they will smear food all over the place, or roll around in a mud puddle, or draw on the walls. “Hey, it’s a little kid and they are messy!” I always wonder if childless people think it’s like that IRL - I can tell you, it’s not. Sure, your kid may do that once but they tend to get grossed out by it - kids are a bit messy but commercials seem to enjoy advancing the idea that kids are pigs - they’re not. ---

Do women just decide at some point to ‘swap sides’? In all my long years, even being disappointed by men more times than I can think of, I never once decided to ‘swap sides’. This is why the BOB (battery operated boyfriend) is now available even at Walmart. I would leave overweight middle-aged man to HIS affair with the bacon-fest. Off shopping I go! ---

Some people are bi- And just lie about it. And some people might just say they are to get out of a bad situation. Maybe bacon eating fool has other bad idiosyncrasies. ---

The whole notion than one must either be fully straight of fully gay is wildly outdated, and even adding the third choice, “bi,” doesn’t really cut it. Sexuality is more like a sliding scale, and it can be fluid. In the context of the commercial, it’s just an out-of-touch clunker of a joke that doesn’t land these days. “Ha ha, marital problems are funny when they involve lesbianism!” (That’s one of the things about _Friends_ that hasn’t aged well.) ---

The marriage was bad - on both sides - and she left my son to move in with a woman. The woman treated her badly, and so she moved in with her (DIL’s) sister. Son is now doing so much better without her, even though he was quite hurt that she would blow up the family with what turned out to be a fling. She’s dating men now, and he has had a girlfriend for over a year now. They just moved in together. ---

I have to go with the Allegra commercial with the girl walking and singing. She has this weird mean face as she sings. I want to see a football player tackle her like a Betty White candy commercial followed by a pile on. ---

That’s the one. I’m not sure why I hate it so much. Part of it is that I don’t get the point of it. Why are they sending an angry lady at me. She’s walking around singing loudly while wearing a headset. That’s just massively rude. And the camera is supposed to be the viewer. It looks like a karen following me around giving me hell. I looked up the lyrics and it sounds like an angry woman.
