New Allstate ad- tells you to check Allstate before renewing like you check the weather before sailing. But then the two assholes on the pier- some dude is sailing out into a storm, and the dude says “Great day for sailing eh?” and the jerks give him a thumbs up and a nod. Then one says “I’ll call the Coast Guard” 🙄. So instead of telling the dude “No, don’t go out, it’s dangerous” you want the Coast Guard to spends thousands of taxpayer dollars rescuing him? ---

Years ago one car company was lamenting all the SUVs that look alike, and their’s was so unique. In a sea of silver, their’s was black. Mazda is now regurgitating that ad. ---

There’s a life insurance commercial where somebody they know dies. She says, “did they have life insurance?” He shakes his head no. She then says, Do we have life insurance?" He says no and she replies, “John.” In a disgusted warni g voice. First: Why doesn’t she know if they have life insurance or not? She should fricken know this stuff. Secondly: Why is it all up to him to make sure they have it. Her fingers aren’t broken. She could totally call, or use the interwebs. Later it explains he got a policy for x amonth for y pay out for him and another breakdown for her, and she’s sitting at the computer smiling 'cause John got off his dead ass to get the policies while she browsed fb? Tic Tok? twit…er X? WTF??? ---

She did say “we talked about this” Sometimes in a marriage duties are assigned by agreeing. You do this and I do this other thing. Kinda how divide and conquer works. Where she went wrong was not having another discussion when he didn’t bring papers for her to sign off on. It is an ignorant commercial for other reasons. ---

I also hate the Ellen and Portia commercial. I like Ellen, and Portia seems like a nice woman. I’m sure they are a lovely couple, but that commercial is cringe inducing. ---

Some sort of skin regimine. Toner,(firms it up), something that makes it smooooth, “who doesn’t like smmooth,” and moisturizer. “It feels like your face just took a drink of water.” Ugh, two perfectly nice women saying stupid stuff. I was going to try and link it, but I’m not tech savvy enough to do it on my phone. The skin goup is called, "Kind Science.\* ---

There’s no way they didn’t know what they were doing by choosing the name Karen. ---

KreditKarma (sumphin like that) says you can use them to fix your credit to get a bigger house and they have their child on a swing in the backyard, smashing into the fence and wall because their backyard is too small. But why don’t they turn the dang swing 90 freakin’ degrees so their daughter can stop BANG ow, BANG owing when she tries to swing? I know that’s supposed to be the joke but. . . it’s sooo stupid! ---

I’ve actually watched this commercial to try to figure out if there’s some reason the swing is oriented that way. Is there something preventing them from installing it lengthwise instead of width-wise. I finally decided that the parents are just idiots. ---
