I do not remember that. You can have fun with Oz- a _Barnstormer in Oz_ (book) does just that, and i am fine with that. But dont take it out, shit on it then wipe your ass with what remains. _Return to Oz_ was also pretty good as a film. I watched one Oz take off years ago on some cable channel and it was- tolerable, but not good. I voted “meh”. ---

I watch way too much YouTube and really should get an ad blocker. I actually got pissed when I went to open a vid and an LL Bean commercial with an autotuned “just for you, just for you, just for you…” came on. It triggered me for some reason. ---

The car just looks odd, but what takes me out is she’s driving a convertible with long hair that is loose and not covered or tied back. As a person who once had long hair and a convertible, that just doesn’t work. ---

I think they purposely modified the head/tail lights to make it look like a more generic car and not “advertise” for Ford without their permission. They also obscured the galloping pony on the grill. Sorta like when the words on a bottle of soft drink are obscured if it is part of some other advertisement, but anyone who’s paying attention knows it’s a Coke bottle. ---

I hope the members of WAR got big royalties, because this ad ruined the song. It’s not that they re-wrote the lyrics (I know they had to do that), but that the vocals are awful. “Get it goin’ slowerrrrrrrrrr.” Yeesh. ---

I’m guessing that someone at the ad agency was concerned about angering Ford, but didn’t want to put in the work to find out what parts of the Mustang are trademarked (the pony defineitely, the grille likely, but does that include the lights or the distinctive features on the sides?), so they just covered the whole thing. And who in the hell puts lipstick on _before_ eating?? ---

But I find that author’s writing awkward and dreadful. That sounds like the SyFy miniseries from more than a few years ago. Tin Man was a type of cop. It was a sort of revisit the world in the distant future. The most recent SyFy series was a twisted retelling. The tornado was an experimental portal, Oz was a janitor who rose to power in Oz by trickery. The witches were constrained from witchcraft by him, lest they unleash “the beast”. Tinman was a boy who has a fall from a great height, and Ozma starts out as a boy, being hidden by a spell. I watched it, but it got tiresome, though there was a nifty twist or two. ---

Can someone let WeatherTech know that women own vehicles now? So far I’ve been treated to _two_ holiday commercials showing only men enjoying these special automotive floor mats. The only woman shown using their products is looking forward to installing some mat under the sink in the kitchen. 🙄 IT IS THE TWENTY-FIRST 🤬 CENTURY, WEATHERTECH.
