My tablet has been inundated with ads for soft, stretchy pants for seniors. I have no problem with the product, but there’s a scene of an older woman struggling to pull up and zip her jeans before trying these miraculous unisex pants with zippered pockets and elastic waist. One would think that at her age, the woman would know that jeans come in lots of sizes and she’s not limited to that pair that won’t zip over her butt. I put that right up there with the woman who can’t pour spaghetti into a strainer without spilling it all in the sink. Oh, and there’s another scene where they’re demonstrating how breathable the fabric is by showing steam passing thru. Except they demonstrate on the crotch of the pants, and all my juvenile mind can conjure up is steamy farts. 🤣 ---

There’s a commercial for a little device with pedals so you can “exercise” while sitting down. There’s plenty to hate about this ad, but the most grating thing to me is the guy who can’t pronounce “feel.” “My muscles fill better, my back fills better, my knees fill better…” aaaagh!!! ---

There’s been a string of commercials on YT recently about how certain persons “stopped paying for car insurance, and did this instead!” What are they doing instead? Buying insurance from a different company, of course. It’s required by law, after all. ---

There’s a Sevierville tourism commercial running right now featuring a bear, a bass fish, and an eagle talking about all the wonderful things you can do in Sevierville and the nearby Smokey Mountains. I just figured out what is bugging me about it. The animals are not speaking with an Appalachian accent. They all have what sounds like Eastern accent . ---

New one showing a bearded fat guy sliding down a snowy slope as he snarfs down one cracker after another. Then, to make it even worse, he loses his clothes as he slides through someone’s cabin. It almost made me nauseous on the first viewing, then they showed it again 10 minutes later. How is this supposed to sell your product?! ---

Alex, the main guy(Buddy Hackett lookalike) is mid 20s. And a newscaster for some baseball team. Is a millionaire. Caleb, the bowtie boy is nearly 20.(Last time I looked, he maybe older) Has his own pod-cast, gaming thingy. You’re seeing old commercials. I’ve been seeing the Christmas party one for several years. All those kids are young adults now. ---
