My only problem with that one is that the Bibberty Mutual guy is shown reading a newspaper, which seems inconsistent with his general idiocy. ---

Corona commercial were they say “playa” means beach and also Corona works too. No it doesn’t. “Corona” means crown. It’s not even close. It isn’t a clever play on words. It’s just dumb. ---

Just saw a commercial for Linzess, an anti-IBS drug. A car pulls up next to a woman. The woman driving is her twin. Woman 1: “who are you?” Woman 2: “I’m future you. Don’t worry about it. Get in!” Woman 1: “uh…okay.” Has she _never_ seen the movie Looper?!? ---

There are a series of commercial for Grainger products (that I’ve seen so many of and still am not sure of what they are) about people being heroes working with their products. In one, the narrator starts with “This is the story all about how. . .” and I have no idea what this hero story is about because every single time it comes on, I hear in my head-- “my life got flipped, turned upside down.” This is not the failing of the commercial, though. This is a failing of my brain. ---

He was puzzled, not getting the ref, and said “uh, I guess so?” Meanwhile the woman in the cube next to him overheard and started laughing out loud. ---

I mean, I was surprised too. One would think that being from West Philadelphia, that would be their regional theme song. But he seemed genuinely puzzled and unaware of the reference; I had to explain it to him. ---

It’s a song about a guy _born and raised in West Philadelphia_, who gets in an altercation on the playground in _West Philadelphia_, and takes his _West Philadelphia_ attitude and sensibilities to Bel Aire. So the song is not just “about Bel-Aire”. ---
