Hehe, if it’s the same gravelly voiced guy, it seems his friends laugh at him for everything. Japanese kitchen knives, power devices. I’m sure they laugh at him for other things he purchases, but I can’t think of examples at the moment. He needs better friends who will actually prevent him from making these dumb purchases. ---

We kept open cans of cat food in the refrigerator because spoiled cat food fermenting on a counter smells worse than any litter box…..as for the beeyotch grossed out by dog food in the refrigerator (‘ew ew ew’0, I would pick the dog over her any time because picky princess hates the dog and it will be an ugly standoff between the two of them. ---

I think Ellie Kemper is adorable and nobody will convince me otherwise. The “Kohl’s Mom” ads are just bland to me; not really annoying. But it perplexes me that, if Kohl’s wanted to create this signature character, they used an actress who is already well-known and recognizable. They could have had their own Flo or Jan or Lily, but instead they got just another shilling celebrity. ---

Yeah, the Walmart grinch commercials are odd and a little disturbing - it moves so quickly I am just not keeping up I guess. There is another Christmas ad with John Travolta hawking some credit card, and he’s all dressed up like Santa (as in past years) and doing the whole _Grease_ thing, with a lot of AI. I think it’s supposed to play on his dancing reputation, but the poor old guy is barely moving and just sorta sadly bounces around to the music. It’s no _Saturday Night Fever_ any more. Sad. ---

I’ve seen the John Travolta one. He sings “Greased Lightning” from _Grease_, which he did in the movie. Remember, last year at about this time, he marched through New York to “Staying Alive” in a _Saturday Night Fever_-themed ad for the same credit card. I don’t think it’s anything more than an appeal to those of us who remember him in those roles, to get that credit card. Of course, “annoying” is in the eye of the beholder. I’m getting annoyed by Old Navy’s “Jingle Jammies” commercial.
