I find that commercial with someone spelling out the word “female” especially annoying–something about his/her voice grates at me. ---

The darling little scamp has clearly never had the joy of cleaning out dishwasher sprayer arms clogged with food particles. Heck, I now have a dishwasher that has built-in filters, and I still pre-soak anything with significant food residue on it. ---

The water in a dishwasher is much hotter and kills more germs than mere handwashing does. ---

Then it should be called a dish sanitizer, not a dish washer. Make more sense that way. people thinks it’s an excuse not to hand wash. ---

My objection isn’t so much what the little brat says, but the obnoxious way she says it. And I don’t hand wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher, I superficially remove anything stuck on since my dishwasher doesn’t remove baked in cheese. I have yet to find the dishwashing liquid that scrubs even though a few advertise that they do. ---

BUZZR TV (which if you don’t know is a cable channel that shows game shows from the 60’s through the 80’s) seems to be mostly sponsored by Plexaderm. The commercials run so often that I moved from being annoyed with them to being numb. But one part of a commercial I find amusing. Annette Figueroa, “…some of our best customers are men, as is women, obviously.” The stupidity of that statement, as well as the bad grammar, is glaringly obvious, but like I said I find it amusing instead of annoying. Oh, and as for those Shriners ads the older spokesperson in a wheelchair is Alec. I was curious one day so I did a little research. He’s 16 and wants to get into sports broadcasting. Not sure how well that would work out, but if can can do it, more power to him. ---

Every time I hear “Fifteen minute ride to work. _Dude_!” on that stupid Credit Karma commercial I want to strangle somebody. :mad: I normally mute the TV, but sometimes I can’t reach the control in time. ---

Local lawyer with TV ads for representing those hurt in auto accidents. Okay, whatever, but his main slogan at the end of his jingle is “Ben Abbott and Associates, People come back to Ben!” Wait, so how many car accidents are these people getting into that they need to keep coming back for more representation? Doesn’t that suggest the problem is on their end? Also, he’s used a different slogan or two with the same jingle. Weird. ---

The two dudes eating bagels with Nutella at McDonald’s. One likes the way the chocolate gets into the hole so he can dig it out with his finger, and then uses the latter to wipe something off his buddy’s beard. Don’t even need a dirty mind to figure out the subtext in this one. :rolleyes: ---

I continue to loathe Miss Anorexic X-ray, “Jan” of the Toyota commercials. Bony, annoying, and the perky no worky. Sadly, Toyota is one of the sponsors of the local NBA channel, so they run them over and over and over. I mute them (as I do most all commercials), and try not to look at the screen, but I know she’s there. And the most recent additional fun is that once you think the ad is over (cuz they’re showing the Toyota logo and all), she makes one last appearance because. . .perky! ---

Mark Spain Real Estate! They’re running a series right now that shows a couple readying their house for a move – shifting furniture, painting, repairing, etc. Each time one makes a misstep, the other barks something at them…only I can’t understand what they’re saying (and I really don’t care enough to turn on the captioning to find out). Each commercial consists entirely of “BAY!”…“BAY!”…“BAY!”…“BAY!” noises until the friendly narrator pops in to tell you how this real estate company can make selling your home so much easier. Bonus: in the scene where the happy couple is shown touching up some paint, one of them is using what appears to be a very fuzzy, paint-free paint roller. 😕 ---

Over the years I’ve learned to not let certain commercials annoy me but the one with Amy Pohler asking that woman, “Are you pulling my leg? Are you sure you aren’t pulling my leg?” is seriously working on my last nerve. It’s the second of what I fear might be a long series for I-don’t-even-know-what product. Oh, I hope I’m wrong.
