[Facebook Groups Military Moms Christmas Commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaK_XZh4xbs). Please, PLEASE correct me if I’m mistaken–But a deployed mom complains she’s not home to help her family prepare for the holidays, and from that small complaint, a cadre of surreptitious Facebook Group Members \*BREAK IN TO HER HOUSE \*to secretly deploy a foundry of stolen Christmas decor they collect during a montage–not to put on, but INSIDE her HOUSE, and her family comes home aghast asking how it was possible, and she smirks “Oh I think I know how” while AN INTERLOPER CREEPS ON THEIR ROOF throwing out a box of fake snow. Probably been mentioned before, but it seems like all the auto insurance ads are either irrelevant, awful, or both. The worst is the ad with Dennis Haysbert offering you the wonderful opportunity to have Allstate install a monitor in your car that will report when you drive too fast, brake too hard, etc. Who on earth would do that? But at least that one has something to do with driving a car. Most of them don’t, they just try to be amusing and/or impress you with celebrities. The Progressive commercials with Flo and Jamie actually are amusing most of the time, but rarely give you a reason to buy their product. The ones with Peyton Manning are amusing about a fourth of the time, but give you zero reason to buy. The ones with Aaron Rodgers are not the least bit funny, and only serve to make you wonder why he spends every waking moment with an insurance agent from some other company (i.e., a competitor of the company he is endorsing). The less said about Limu Emu and Liberty Biberty, the better. ---

any commercial that takes the spoiled rich brats “i want it all” song from charlie and the chocolate factory and uses it as a life affirmation should be flogged violently ---

I’m getting really peeved at the Pier One commercials where someone is trying to tell another person something important (hey, we’re pregnant) and all anyone around them does is exclaim over all the Pier One products around. Let me tell you, all those people would be out the door and out of my life. And yes, I know, commercial, no one would really do that, but it’s _not funny_ at all. ---

All of the Liberty Mutual commercials are annoying, but this one really grinds my gears lately. The Farmers’ ads are generally tolerable, or would be if they weren’t repeated over and over again. I’ve gotten really efficient at muting the Liberty ads as soon as they pop up on the screen. Apart from the annoying tagline jingle, why are a fortune-telling con and a nasty aggressive flightless bird supposed to make us want their insurance? ---

I didn’t click on it, but I liked that it showed you the cheapest location. I have one drug that costs hundreds of dollars, and the difference was significant between Walgreen’s, CVS, and Kroger. Like $150 different. I’ll be exploring this a bit more. Yes, the commercial is obnoxious. In my case, it worked! ---

There’s one I’ve seen recently that starts with the someone saying “shopping for my pets is stressful, especially during the holidays…” Really? I imagine some executive at Liberty Mutual has been watching the Geico gecko ads for years and silently fuming. Finally, he lost it and screamed “our commercials need a spokes-animal that will remind everyone of Liberty Mutual!” The creative team worked nights and weekends for months, and the best they could come up with was LiMu emu. The exec is now bragging to everyone that it was his idea, and no one has the heart to tell him it sucks. ---
