One of the few things that I’m really really sure about is that that knee jerk rage reaction is the most dangerous part of the human character. That righteous need to hurt others who deserve it, is pretty much the root of all evil regardless of the target. I really see no distinction between directing it at skinheads, or Hitler directing it at jews, or crackers at black people, or men at women, or liberals at conservatives (or vice versa.) Homophobes direct it at gays, **Lissener** directs it at everybody who disagrees with him. We all feel it from time to time, the trick is to recognize it for what it is… a scream of aggression from our reptile brain at the recognition of a potential antagonist. It was probably a pretty useful thing a million years or so ago when any stranger from a different tribe you might meet was an enemy. It would be a good survival trait to have a reflex that shut off empathy and maximized aggression and got the adrenal juices going. Not necessarily all that useful now, though. ---

Bigots go off because they think black people want to mug them, marry their women and pollute their genes. Homophobes go off because gay people threaten their manhood. I **did** say that this reaction was directed at people who the attacker feels deserve it. So, I don’t doubt your reason. You can’t be self righteous without a reason. Though, feeling insulted or disrepected is pretty weak, imo, not any rea justification for character assassination. ---

Dude. I have had thousands of perfectly civil disagreements on this board. That contradicts the point. The few times I have “gone on the attack”–out of 15,000 posts–have been in response to what I felt were unwarranted personal attacks. They had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with whether I perceived a disagreement of my views or not. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THAT contradicts your point. To inflate that false meme that is only perceived to be true because, “Yeah, I never saw him do that, but people like Scylla says he does that, so he must” into a comparison with wanting to torture and murder skinheads? A new level of astounding low, Scylla. ---

I’m really starting to think that **Curtis LeMay** is nothing more than a troll. I keep seeing the same thing over and over from him. Start a provocative posts about abortion, homosexuals, slaves, “I want to kill nazi’s”, reply a couple of times then off to start another one. I won’t respond to him anymore. ---

One main character had “Poor impulse control” on his noggin. It seems silly at first, but more like a good idea as I think about it. Guys with swastika tattoos have just done us the favor, imo. Then again, I’m reading **Superfreakonomics** now, so I’m sure there is some rational incentive for someone to tattoo a swastika on their forehead. ---
