There are usually threads about Marvel shows, so I’m starting this one.
Watched the first two episodes and don’t have a strong option of it yet. I didn’t immediately hate it like _Secret Invasion_ but I wasn’t drawn into it either. Seems like it is going to be fairly light humor.

I feel the same way. I guess they are building the storyline slowly, but let’s hope it gets more intriguing in the third episode.

About three quarters of the way through I was ready to turn it off when things suddenly picked up. Very weak first episode overall but it ended with a bang leaving me wanting to watch the next episode.

If you watched Mare of Easttown, the first 30 minutes or so were an overt homage to that show (and done really well). I’ve only watched Ep1, but I like it so far. Interestingly, the nude scene was Kathryn Hahn’s idea, the original script called for her to put the robe on before she went outside. And, of course, Aubrey Plaza is amazing in everything she does.

Seen the first episode, loved it.
One thing all the reviews liked was the kid, though, and that I’m not seeing yet. He was OK but not a standout.

Ah, so that was it, thanks. I thought it was just some generic Nordic noir-pastiche, with the opening credits flashing ‘based on the Danish series Wandavisdysen’ or whatever it was.

Joe Locke is great. Another one breaking out from _Heartstopper_.
Yes, the first episode was slow. But things are looking promising. Quite a fun cast all around - we’ll have to see how the chemistry works out.

Immediately before Aubrey Plaza lick-heals Agatha’s hand and walks away at the end of episode one, they have this exchange:
Aubrey: It really warms the heart.
Agatha: You don’t have a heart.
Aubrey: Yes, I do. It’s black and it beats for you.
I noticed it at the time and was surprised when Agatha picked Kitty Foreman as the fourth.

That’s an interesting concept that I hadn’t considered. It would make sense, especially since he was unable to say his name.
So, the dead body in episode 1 supposed to represent Wanda. We see a reference or two to her (the destroyed house’s foundation has a drawing of her headpiece and graffiti saying “evil witch.”
Of course, there are also many blatant references to Wanda, but I appreciate the subtle nods to her, also.

I enjoyed the second episode far more than the first. i.e. At no point did I consider turning it off and going to do something else. The Avengers and any hero associated with them wasn’t within my wheelhouse so far as comics go, so I don’t know anything about Harkness and very little about anything connected to Marvel’s mystical characters. So I have no idea who anyone is.

I’m conflicted. If I click would I confirm my suspicions, or would I ruin a surprise?
I usually don’t mind spoilers, unless there is supposed to be a surprise reveal, a la The Usual Suspects or The Sixth Sense.
