quasar, Shelley Berman (Hollywood and vaudeville comedy giant) played a boss of Rachel’s. Debra Jo Rupp (That 70s Show) played Phoebe’s sister-in-law. Terri Garr was Phoebe Senior. Marlo Thomas (“That Girl”) played Rachel’s mom. Dan Castellaneta (voice of Homer Simpson) played a zoo keeper. Chrissie Hynde (lead singer of the Pretenders) played Phoebe’s ex-partner. Jon Lovitz played the stoned restauranteur - by the way, he and Lisa Kudrow and great friends IRL. Helen Hunt and Leila Kenzle played their “Mad About You” characters. Jennifer Grey (Ferris Bueller, Dirty Dancing) played Mindy, Rachel’s rival for Barry’s affections. Leah Remini (King of Queens) played the girl giving birth that Joey helps the same day Phoebe’s giving birth. Elinor Donahue played a relative of Ross & Monica’s. Jay Leno appeared with Morgan Fairchild, as himself. Brenda Vaccaro plays Joey’s mom. Lea Thompson played her role from “Caroline in the City.” Audra Lindley (Mrs. Roper from “Three’s Company”) played Phoebe’s grandmother. Chris Isaak plays a Phoebe love interest. The one who played Phoebe’s ex-partner was EG Daily, who is the voice of Tommy on Rugrats. Phoebe: “Our mothers worked on the barge together.” Monica: “You two must have been so cute running around on a barge!” Phoebe: “You NEVER run on a barge!” _quoted from memory_ oh, just shoot me now. ---

**I can not believe I forgot about Charlie Sheen and Brook Shields** More names: As someone mentioned before **Fergie** **Jon Favreu** **Who is the smartest friend?** Ross/Chandler: a tossup between them for the #1 spot. Monica Rachel Phoebe Joey: no arguments here. :rolleyes: Comments: I am actually not sure about Rachel and Phoebe. Rachel seems to have a slightly above average IQ–around 110 I estimate–while Phoebe is too goofy and full of strange beliefs as to provide a sound basis to ascertain her intelligence. In any case Rachel has matured as the show has evolved and from that maturity has surfaced an apparently more intelligent person. On the other hand, Phoebe is, well, same old Phoebe. Hence, I will give a slight edge to Rachel. Note: it is possible than in another incarnation Phoebe could have been smarter though. ---

Two characters that I think have really been suffering recently are Phoebe, who has gotten really bitchy, and Ross, whose nerdiness has gone right over the top to the point where he’s intolerable.
