# Ah, but who's on the $100,000 bill?

Hold on a minute here! I didn’t notice this the first time I read the mailbag item, but it says

Well, Salmon P. Chase was also Secretary of the Treasury from March 7, 1861 to June 30, 1864.

I suggest that this is why he was chosen to be on the $10,000 bill, and is therefore the more relevant fact for the purposes of the mailbag item.

This episode of the Simsons ran today (Burns steals the bill) and it appears that a picture of president Harry Truman was on it.
