Well, my point is that the downward spiral seems to have gone on for new film franchise efforts, not for sequels where the creative team has stayed intact. Though I admit I’m not a fan of the **Blade** movies, so my knowledge there is sketchier. ---

It works in the comics because move!Rogue and comic!Rogue are quite different. And although Johnny Depp would be a cool Gambit, he’s far too old for Anna Paquin. ---

They even had the Phoenix Effect over the last shot of X2, so you can go “I know what’s happening in the next movie!” ---
