Ah... Tea!

I’m drinking my morning cup of tea right now. It’s caffeine free licorice spice from Stash - such a different flavor! Really has the black licorice kick. Lovely.

No sweeteners for me - and no caffeine in my teas. I get enough artificial sweeteners & caffeine from my giant bottles of diet Mountain Dew.

It was hot , strong and sweet tea that helped Britain through World War 2. Whether it was the soldiers making a "brew-up " while under fire or the tea wagons set up by the Salvation Army and Women’s Voluntary Service during the Blitz or just ordinary people making a cuppa when they felt low and dog tired. It was a life saver.

I was going to post about ordering some lovely teas from Adagio last week. Today I’m drinking a cream tea, and it’s lovely.

Could you explain what you mean by cream tea. To us on this side of the pond a cream tea is a light meal , served in the afternoon with tea , cakes and scones served with clotted cream and preserves.

I haven’t tried it, but it seems to be this:

Thanks for that link. Seems a strange combination but I see it has got high ratings from users.

Curses to you Johnny L.A. - now I have to make tea too

… wonders off to peruse the tea shelf

And I can’t stand green teas; give me a good strong black tea: Prince of Wales, Russian Caravan. No sugar, no cream.

Funny, it’s got caffeine in it, but it calms me down as much as 10 mg. of valium.

Now, when I drop 10 mg. of valium into my tea, it’s even better.

Cool, thanks for the link. I looooove green tea but I’ve been using tea bags because I couldn’t figure out which teapot to buy. But, Adagio has that nifty intoductory sampler and teapot on the first page so I tookt he plunge and ordered it. I can’t wait to try it out…

Of course some of us are using this as we type

I love both black and green teas, but if I have black tea I must have it strong as well.

I love the Welsh Morning tea from TeaSource.com

I’m so jealous! I’m stuck at work where the only “tea” I have access to is Lipton with Equal and powdered non-dairy creamer. :frowning:

Thanks, TroubleAgain for the link to adagio teas. Maybe I’ll get some and bring it to work with me!

(And thanks everyone for inspiring me to stop lurking and start posting!)

There are a few other good online retailers out there. I’ve used specialtea and leaves. Adagio is still my favourite, though.

That does look amazingly cool. But I think my boss would probably frown upon open flames in the cubicle. (I get enough flack for my “illegal” space heater. )
