In the Church, yes. Director of the choir in the Church of England. Our college precentor (Dr Webber) was a little man with glasses. Our praelector (Dr Robinson) was a big man with a beard. See, I can remember their ruddy names and what they looked like! Did **matt\_mcl** have to hold anyone’s finger, I wonder? ---

Wow. Our Pralector was a guy called Dr Mike Hobson - my Director of Studies in fact. A rather good looking man, if my mother’s any judge. (Looks a bit like Smith from the Matrix). If **matt\_mcl** did have to hold anyone’s finger, do you think he pulled it to see what happened? ---

Matt, since you are a Languages Majour, I though it would be appropriate to send you congratulations in different languages. Here then in English/Dutch/Papiamentoe……. I wouldn’t/couldn’t attempt French because while I too am Canadian, I am first and foremost a Newfie, my father would roll over in his grave (except that he was cremated) anyhoo …… Congratulations Matthew for a job well done. You have done yourself proud. What are your plans, if I may ask? Do you plan to continue in academe perhaps for a Masters, or will you join the ranks of us working stiffs?
