Slug? Slug??? Please. I once stepped on a frog in my bare feat. Just like stepping on a slug but with little tiny bones… So quit yer whining…if i can get over it, you can (and…er…someday I hope to…it’s only been 20 years…_shudder_) ---

Slugs are the most disgusting nuciance creepy crawlie there is. Not the most frightening, but the absolute **grossest** thing to step on, or make contact with at all with bare skin. A frog crunching would definitely be gross, but a slug not only pops the most vile innards I have ever seen, but the slime is irremoveable. It is like a super glue version of the nastiest “loogie” and it gives me the heebies to just think about it! _still shuddering_ **Spatial Rift 47** Have you ever seen a banana slug? Increase the size of that booger to an eight to ten inch squirming mass of slime, and perhaps you will be able to visualize my two younger brothers spearing them on sticks and chasing me with them…_shuddering convulsions_ I believe that my brothers scarred me for life! ---

Been there, done that. I, too, live in the Puget Sound area, and stepping on a slug is a bad trip. 1) Their slime sticks like nobody’s business. What is the bioligical necessity of that? 2) They _burst_, when you step on them, like a tiny, tight balloon. It’s a horrible sensation. ---

These stories make me feel like a wimp! I was sitting in my mom’s living room when I felt something slimy on my pants, so I looked down and saw a slug on my leg! I ran out onto the front porch and took off my pants (I didn’t want that thing to stay in the house). Shame that my mother lived on a major highway… ---

Ew!! When I was three or four I saw something at the bottom of my kiddie pool and thought it was a leaf, so I touched it and it was a SLUG OMG! I ran inside crying and washed my hands obsessively for the rest of the day. ---

Right in the middle of my front room. I found another cowering behind a table…I think they’d found their way up from the river, squeezed under the door (there’s a half-inch gap) and not known what to do. As for slugs, they are _eeeeevil_. Just evil. (Me and a friend have a theory that the serpent in the Garden of Eden was actually a slug…but that’s another matter entirely…) ---

I still have nightmares from when I used to step on slugs, as a kid. they are the only creep crawley thing that make me freak out. We used to have an old wooden doghouse in our backyard. One day, my husband moved it, and jumped back because he thought there was a snake underneath. EXCEPT, it was a giant slug! 18" long.
