Ahhh, abortion

brian bunnyhurt

however, to a pro-lifer, in terms of right to life, a fetus is to a baby as a fly is to a fly. rights of fetus=rights of baby. the difference between a baby in the womb and a baby out of the womb is as insignificant as that between a 6 month old on the floor and an 8 month old on the couch. as the author of your fallacy site points out, tagging the argument as ‘slippery slope’ has no validity unless you can prove that the fetus doesn’t have the same right to life as a baby, which is essentially the entire point of this thread. what i was trying to point out to cazzle is that you shouldn’t just jump into the middle of a debate and state the opening premise of one side after the debate has gone on for five days.

zwaldd,

No one can prove that rights are the same for a fetus or an 8 month old, those are to be decided, most of us knew that. Also, I didn’t tag an argument slippery slope, I said it was approaching one if you would have declared their rights to be the same, I took you to mean hypothetically. I’ve been on this thread from the beginning.

i don’t think so either, which is why i don’t like to debate the morality of abortion.

i know. i was refering to cazzle jumping in and stating the abortion-rights opening premise as his argument.
