This is my last night of work for a while! As I said to DRY in an email: > [@](#): > > we have rented a privately owned condo from a very nice lady who lives in New York. Her condo is on the Florida gulf coast. It is just steps from the beach. The resort the condo is in has 3 pools, tennis courts, and boat slips and fishing piers. We will leave Saturday morning and return the next Saturday afternoon. I will spend my week reading, playing on the beach, taking pictures, picking up shells, doing craft work, fishing, sleeping and generally doing whatever feels right. We usually go out to a nice restaurant at least once, and there is a little bar down the road with pool tables and dart boards that we usually visit at least once, too, for a change of pace. I don’t really swim, so most of my beach time is spent with the shells/books/camera. I do like to wade in the water, though. I also like to catch the sun setting over the gulf every evening if I am able. Last year we had some bad weather, which didn’t make for spectacular sunsets, but we had a good time, in spite. And also in spite of a bad case of red tide. (Eeww, yuck, dead fish everywhere, and I can’t breathe with that stuff that the red tide puts in the air.) So, try and miss me, folks. I don’t know if I’ll be posting while I’m gone or not. I will have my laptop with me, but the vacation attitude may just keep me from doing anything that strenuous… 😃 [sub]DRY–Sorry to snip part of my email to you out and post it here, but I was just too lazy to type it all again. [sub]I mean, unless you were replying to me thusly: “DRY, I think you’re being a jerk in saying that \*\*\*\*\*\* is physically attractive but a real bitch (or \*\*\*\* is real nice but is just incredibly homely)” or something like that. [/sub] Anyway, have a WONDERFUL TIME, and please, please check your e-mail if you get a chance while you’re on vacation. I fully intend to catch up on my correspondence this week! [sub]And don’t be like that darned Tatertot who is not only happy that I’m overworked so she’s relieved of the obligation of writing me back, but isn’t even considerate enough to make an extra effort to send me a nice letter that would cheer me up when I drag my tired ass back into the office after a long day “at court” :([/sub]
