My Periodr7 & 8 boys have discovered Ahmed the Dead Terrorist on YouTube. Now I have a whole class of Arabs who can say “Silence! I Keeeel you!” I thought it was somewhat culture-related. ---

When my sister was teaching in Dubai, she had a class full of Arab boys in their early 20s telling her how they loved to get together and watch Jack Bauer hunt down the evil Muslim terrorists. She asked them if they didn’t feel a little awkward about that, and they all rolled their eyes: “That’s just _television_, miss!” ---
