# Aids treated by putting person in a bubble

Cecil said at the end of the column that AIDS will kill everyone who contracts it.  
There was a group of infected people that contracted the AIDS virus from the same person, and had not been adversely affected. I saw this a few years back on a documentary about AIDS. AIDS being a constantly mutating virus, this person had infected these people with a mutated version that wasn’t killing them. They were being studied for a possible way to fight AIDS. I would like to know if these people are still healthy, since a number of years have passed since the show aired.

Yeah, and I remembering seeing a news story one night that reported that a baby that had originally contracted aids from its mother had somehow been cured of it… what about this story? and updates on it?
