::still crossing her fingers for Rysdad:: Just so you know, I make the BEST peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies EVER. So you’ll be seriously missing out if you don’t show. Unless you don’t like peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies. If that’s the case, you are not human and I fear you. 😉 Really hope you can make it. ---

> [@](#): > > \*Originally posted by chique \* > \*\*And lno…WHAT did you do with that cow? 😉 \*\* Damn. Left too early again. Thanks for the farm tour, **chique**. It was fun. Ryan liked it, too (after he got over his city-kid squeamishness). Grampa’s a neat feller, too. [sub]And, keep me in mind if a couple of acres on the Elk River open up.[/sub] Until the next MinnDope, Rys ---

Apparently I was drinking heavily. And **Rysdad**? You have no idea how cool Grampa is. You should have seen him drive up while we were talking about the $175,000 tractor. It made me sigh happily and profess my love for rural Minnesota. 🙂 ---

And I actually showed up! Woo! Mmm… Chili. Y’know, lno damn near made my crush list until that whole thing with the cow. It was a CALF man! SICK! [sub]Psst… lno? I’ll roll around in the hay again with you any day.[/sub] 😉 ---

We had a great time, and Zac enjoyed making a fort in the hay stacks with Ryan. I like Grampa too, and enjoyed seeing everyone again, and meeting **ethilrist**. I was sorry that Sharon got lost and got stuck with three pints of potato salad. We’ll have to be sure to show her the way to the next one. ----:)/ x o x o x ----///\\ ---

Thanks for hosting, Chique! I finally got to meet some dopers! Woohoo! Definitely a cool place for kids, too. Looks like they had a great time playing with the tractors and haybales, and Zack even got to have a Very Educational Moment when Mr. Bull showed up and visited with the cows for a while… ---

I also enjoyed meeting **Silver Fire**. I had forgotten that this was the first time I actually met her, because it seems like we have met before. Didn’t mean to leave you out. ---

Did I ever mention that one of my greatest internet regrets was not knowing about the SDMB when I actually lived in the Cities? ☹ Or anywhere there are actually more than three Dopers within a twelve-county area, anyway… jayjay ---

Central Pennsylvania, to be precise, where the DoperMap says there are about three of us between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. I used to live in Minneapolis, for about two years. This was in 95-97. I had WebTV, but didn’t discover the Wonderful World of Unca Cecil until I’d been back here for a year. Ah, well…one of these days… 🙂 jayjay [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/aight-lets-try-this-vikings-dopfest-again-eh/83637.md?page=4)
