# Air crash in New York -- again?

What are the odds of this happening _now_ and being an accident? Should I go buy a lottery ticket? Does anyone know the details of the crash? This boggles the mind.

Neither CNN, MSNBC, nor the NYTimes has anything on it yet.

Well, you could visit any [news site](http://www.msnbc.com), and they’d [tell you](http://www.cnn.com) all about the [plane crash](http://www.ny1.com).

The odds of it happening now are the same as they always were. The events of September 11 in no way impact the chances of a plane crashing on its own on the same day or any other day.

Coincidentally, the Pick Three numbers for New Jersey on the day of the crash were the same as the number of the flight. (I also remember an Halloween when the numbers for New York were 666). Just coincidence.
