But I \*do \*agree with the sentiment in quotes there. Wholeheartedly, in fact. Edited to add: And the larger context made clear that the person talking on the podcast (Julia Turner, Slate’s editor-in-chief) clearly \*did \*agree with the sentiment, and included herself as aligned with the “some people” she referred to. (And there again, I used quotes, just to, you know, \*quote \*her, and I wonder how people interpret that…this is crazymaking stuff!) ---
