I’ve read that fear of heights does not kick in unless you’re still attached to the earth in some way. On a roof, on a cliff, etc.
There’s no way I’d class myself as either scared of heights or a nervous flyer, but there’s something about seeing “Altitude: 600ft” on the screens just after take off which is a whole lot more _real_ than “Altitude: 37 000ft” at cruise. Those are 600 very real feet. 37 thou is just an abstract concept.

One thing I love about the dope is the references. But don’t all you Nightmare at 40000 Feet people worry about trying to lean your seat back and making the wings fall off?

I like window ==\> aisle ==\> bulkhead middle ==\> middle by window ==\> middle seat, middle of plane

Aisle seat, near the center of the aircraft but not on the exit row.
