That’s just another adjective; I think the noun should be “incromulence.”

Same method: Throw 9 at once and hope at least 1 makes it in…

“‘Cromulence’ and ‘incromulence’ mean the same thing? What a country!”

No, I was proposing ‘incromulence’ (rather than ‘non-cromulentude’) as the antonym of ‘cromulence’.

One thing stood out to me in the story:

> According to Qiu’s neighbour, Qiu believes in Buddhism.

As the fact-dissemination in this item was performed under the auspices of the Chinese government, the inclusion of this factoid makes me wonder if it was a sly dig about the foolishness of having any attachment to religion. Or is tossing money at a conveyance in an effort to ensure a successful journey a typically Buddhist practice?

Money can’t solve all your problems. Actually it can just make things worse.

Well, looks like it happened again this year, in February, in a separate incident as well.

I think it is funny that the chinese arline is called “Lucky Air.”

_Lucky_ is one of the last things I want my airline to be described as.

Yes, because Buddhism is not an “exclusive” religion, and most Buddhists happen to be more or less Animist. They name they give their religious character is Buddhist, they are so called by others, and their scientific (animist) beliefs include the idea that making an offering to physical embodyments like airplanes is both polite and wise.

If it was /obvious/ that she must have been “Buddhist” to do something like that, it wouldn’t have been necessary to say so in the report. But it does offer an “explanation”, and readers like that.
