Agree. In that era I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see a (or even a bank of) wooden phone booth in, say, a Chicago train station. ---

But I’m pretty sure that Lloyd Bridges wasn’t briefing the press on the airport concourse. It was in the command center/air traffic control tower, wasn’t it? Maybe the bank of phone booths was set up as a courtesy to the press. Gonna have to find a copy of _Zero Hour_, and see if there were press accommodations in that. ---

You were probably looking in the red zone - the white zone has these phone booths. ---

Hmmm…Striker, Striker, Striker… Striker! _Man Punches Woman_ I recently watched Airplane 2 and forgot just how funny that movie actually is. Despite not being a ZAZ movie, it’s a good successor. ---
