Airplane! 2 was a much sequel than Caddyshack 2. But that is not saying much I always liked Wally and Beaver’s mom speaking jive and translating for the flight attendant. ---

Airplane II was such a good sequel I didn’t know for years it wasn’t ZAZ\*. It matches perfectly. \*“Why the hell aren’t I notified about these things!” ---

I had the opposite response. I thought it was a bit of a stinker, but didn’t know it wasn’t ZAZ, which I guess explains it. ---

I liked the courtroom scene where they’re talking about Buddy, Andy and Howie. Even better than the Roger, Victor and Oveur scene, IMO. ---

There’s a scene in The Larry Sanders Show where Robert Hays is faking out Paula by pretending to be sick. When she realizes it’s just a dumb gag she deadpans, “That’s really funny, Robert” and he brags, “Well, I was in Airplane II.” I think that about sums it up.
