Airports and buildings in Denver, etc. - also similar lack of oxygen due to high altitude, or is the internal air different?

Kind of an interesting aside, my Wife went to Denali national park to work for 6 months. Worked for the Park service, but not climbing mountains. So ground level was about 2k. She came home to where we live, and got altitude sickness.
