I’ve lived here since 1971. I’d have to agree. And, it isn’t a shit-hole. Pretty progressive. If you have a need for big city life, Cleveland is only 40 minutes North.

…which IS a shit-hole.
To be fair, I actually haven’t lived in Cleveland since like 93, so maybe it has changed. Tho I don’t really care if I ever find out.

I went to Cleveland in March, visited Akron and Painesville area also. Thought everywhere _except_ Cleveland was very nice. Set the fire alarm off at that fancy McDonalds in Independence while I was there, too.
Beautiful scenery, although I didn’t care too much for the geese.

Huh, Akron AND Cleveland on a list together. Very nice. I live right between them so I’ve clearly got it going on.
Cleveland is nice now. It’s been slowly getting nicer since the 90s but really had a boom the last 10 years. Downtown used to be a wasteland but now it’s actually “bustling” and the neighborhoods around it (Tremont, Ohio City, Slavic Village, Cleveland Heights) are on the move as well.

If we could just fix the roads. Northern Ohio has the worst roads anywhere.

Try living in Michigan. I just moved back to Ohio after three years in Michigan, and I can say that the worst road here, would be considered “slightly bad” in Michigan.
And for those who live in Akron who really want to see a shithole, Youngstown is only 45 minutes East.

Don’t forget Toledo, or Zanesville, or Stuebenville, or Springfield, or Dayton, etc…
