# Al Franken threads.

There currently are two threads about Sen. Al Franken having committed sexual harassment, which he admitted to and apologized for, but that’s not really the subject of this thread. One is in Elections and one is in MPSIMS. I’m kind of curious why they haven’t been merged. Cafe Society (because of his work on Saturday Night Live) or MPSIMS normally seem to be appropriate choices, but since he is a U. S. senator, Elections really is the best fit. Shouldn’t the thread in MPSIMS be merged with that one?

Merging would be a bad idea, the older larger one in elections is now a battle of a few die-hards and is no longer even readable, why kill the other thread by merging?

I would say about the same thing. There are some points and some posters missing from the Elections thread and it makes much better reading.

It’s common that ongoing current events can have overlapping interest in different forums. I clearly see an Elections related topic there. That this is the case doesn’t preclude an MPSIMS related topic as well.
