My marriage went through a crisis about 15 years ago, and I was thinking about a divorce at that time. When I was in that mind set, I would have balked at taking on increased debt. It just seems odd to me. A nine inch 9 MILLION dollar dildo would also make me wonder … Hmmmmmmmm? What’s wrong with this picture? Maybe I am wrong, and maybe I lack insight because I have never been divorced … I still think it is odd. Usually, a 40 year marriage is resilient to most common marriage problems … Unless there was adultery involved. ---

He could have bought the house after they decided to separate. We have no idea. They sent an email to their friends, and someone gave it to the press. I’m sure they expected that to happen, but that’s hardly the same thing. ---

It’s not every day that a 40 year marriage goes down the drain. I hope they can repair whatever is broken, and work things out. They always seemed to be happy. Am I allowed THAT speculation? Or, is that more of my ass-humming? Sheish ! ---

The speculating part was when you said _something_ :eek: was wrong with this series of events and then suggested one of them cheated on the other. We don’t know why they decided to divorce. We don’t know what the house was bought in relations to whatever problem led to the divorce (if there was any one major problem). So there’s no reason to say something doesn’t add up. ---
