Well, they didn’t single out the SDMB specifically. But they did put out a website listing groups that were likely spawning grounds for terrorists, groups which included gays, anti-war organizations, environmentalists, animal rights advocates and abortion opponents. The website has been taken down. Overall, the list is so stupid that I can’t believe even Alabamians were that dumb. (And that’s saying something.) Alabama, did Texas put you up to this? ---

Just curious, how many states even _have_ a Department of Homeland Security? And what exactly gives the State of Alabama the right to shut down websites? ---

Alabama needs its own Department of Homeland Security because they know if we ever decide to give up part of the country to the enemy, they’re going to be high on the list of expendable states. ---

[/QUOTE] Especially since the only two “terrorist incidents” in Alabama in recent years were both caused by people that are the political opposites of the ones from that website. Those being Eric Rudolph’s bombing of a Birmingham abortion clinic, and the busting a month or two ago of a right wing militia that had been stashing hardcore military equipment (like missile launchers and machine guns) in preparation for attacks on hispanics. ---
