Alcohol tolerance (or what's it take to get you drunk).

That’s about right for me. Though these days, I don’t drink much because of meds that I take.

I occasionally will go out and have a night on the town, but not often. I went to a farewell party in a bar that ended up with the departing person buying rounds of Patron tequlia and teaching the employees from Nepal how to do a tequila shot American-style. Departing person was impressed that four shots didn’t seem to affect me much. I’ve been told that I look more “sweet” than “party girl” (which is how I spent my teens and twenties), which may have confused him.

I believe you. I’ve just never been overly willing to find out.

Is there any actual science to back up these theories? It sounds like woo to me.

Agreed. Big House is good too.

I’ve observed this too and wondered if there wasn’t some kind of placebo effect or possibly peer pressure going on where the “drunk” acted that way because they thought it was somehow expected of them.

As others have said, define drunk.

I got noticeably tipsy on the second beer. I then stay at approximately that level for the next quite a few.
