It’s generally good netiquette to lurk at a site for a while and learn the character and feel of a board before posting. That helps avoid such travesties as all cap subjects, forgetting a link (oh wait, this is GQ), and missing acceptable practices like sarcastic ribbing.
Do we have a FAQ on this stuff?
