Yeah since they’re filming an old west movie, if they’re using a black powder style weapon I could see something like the barrel exploded causing shrapnel forward but not actually causing any rearward damage since the black powder isn’t as powerful as modern gun powder.

This isnt a Disney board. This board has always been place where snark and harsh judgment have been common. If the modding is tranding towards TWOP style restrictions its bad for everyone.

Was perusing some forums where movie industry types post and it was mentioned that this film’s contract tier was one of the lowest possible, which means all of the technical staff on set are making basically minimum pay rates for the industry, or nearly so. This likely means the technical staff who maintain props and make sure things like firearms on set are handled safely…are not the best people in the field.
You know what, I also think Alec Baldwin should sit on a tack.
Whatever anybody thinks of Alec Baldwin, I cannot even imagine how devastated he must be right now.
I’m sure the truth will out soon enough. If he was actually at fault, he should of course face consequences. If someone else was negligent in preparing the prop, Baldwin deserves our sympathy.
That was doubly tragic, and in violation of multiple laws, because it happened in the middle of the night and involved small children.
