Coaltion soldiers? Coaltion troops? Coalition forces? Saying coalition members *means * nations, they are the component members of the coaltion.
“Coalition forces”, that works. I’ll use that if the idiotic attempted analogy hijack goes on.
Hey, everyone, just read “coalition forces” where I said “coalition members” earlier.
Uhmm…New Zealand passports were not used in this instance.
And you raise an interesting point. So let me ask you something - what is “more wrong” - “stealing” a homeland, and dispossessing a people* or engaging in asymetric warfare to “get back at” the thief?
The whole point is that once you start an argument of “more wrong” you end up in the tit for tat that has kept this stupid situation running for so long.
I contend that breaking promises made to friendly nations and engaging in identity theft to kill a guy is wrong in and of itself - regardless of whether or not the guy deserved it. Behaving that way extends the problems, and lowers support for what should be a “just” cause.
Methods matter, standards of behaviour matter. As is the case at Gitmo - most of the problems for this have arisen not because people are incarcerated, but because they are incarcerated without due process, which makes the incarceration wrong.
I am not upset the guy was killed, but upset in the manner of his killing, doing it this way makes it wrong.
- This is what Palestinians think has happened, I am not going to validate that or posit an opinion though
What a waste of The Hamsters’ energy this thread is. Seen it once, seen it a thousand times on the SDMB…and for the most part American MSM.
Israel can do no wrong AND there are no dual-loyalist amongst the US Jewish population.
Patriots, off the top of my bald pate, such as Richard Pearle, Paul Wolfowitz, Michael Chertoff, George Tenet, Eric Lynn, Douglas Feith, Lee Feinstein, David Axelrod, Elliot Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Rahm Emanuel, David Frum…ad infinitum.
Junior staff members and wannabes? Coming at you live in many a thread. This one just one of many.
1-Israel can do no wrong.
2-If and when it does, refer to #1. Or you become a de facto anti-Semite.
Must say the rebuttal is losing much of its historic weight. Seems as if Israel’s leaders are at the forefront of that change through their demonstrably barbaric actions. Of course, as long as there are those “sub-humans” to blame…
Shalom.
Ah, Red’s favorite trolling tactic.
-Lie and claim that there are people who take Israel’s side and claim Israel can do no wrong, even in the face of their record of posting on this board. Facts don’t matter, post to piss folks off.
-Get a bit drunk and let your racist side hang out and accuse Jews of Dual Loyalty, being treacherous, treasonous pawns of Global Jewry. Follow this up by simply naming a bunch of Jews involved in politics you don’t like. You’re not a racist, you just happen to be Jew-hunting, it’s totally coincidental.
-Whine, like a whipped little bitch, about how any criticism at all will be met with cries of anti-Semitism (due to all those traitor Jews who you just can’t trust to have their own political opinions).
It’s like an Energizer Bunny powered by whisky.
Actually the attitude is generally: What can you expect, they’re only Jews. Funnily enough, adopted by large parts of the American jewish community.
From your lips to the Ears…
Yes Lucy, a “shalom” stuck in at the end of a bit of anti-Semitic racism. It’s classy, is what it is.
And, naturally, we have one of Red’s fellow travelers, a poster who’s received at least one final warning for racist trolling (and a few others for simple racism and/or trolling) and whose new trolling refrain is that people who disagree with him are racists since, gorsh, why would anybody disagree with him if they didn’t think that Jews were evil? It’s an interesting bit of turnspeak. A racist who has gone on record as saying that it’s perfectly normal to wish for the destruction of Judaism by fire and whose new lie is that, secretly, the people who disagree with him are the Jew haters.
The one good thing that discussions of this sort do are to bring the rodents scurrying out into the light for a brief moment as they snarl and spit, and then run for cover again. Helps to keep tabs on human-filth.
I commonly use “peace” as a departing blessing, like others say shalom, or via con dios. You have an opinion as to my sincerity? Try to imagine how little that means to me.
Not even close. Try again.
:smack:
Were you the one who used the word?
Were you the one who used the word to cap off an anti-Semitic rant about perfidious Jews and their Dual Loyalty?
Or were you the one who responded to the guy who used a traditional Jewish blessing of peace while spinning conspiracy yarns about those damn treacherous Dual Loyalty Jews, and I pointed out the inappropriateness of its use and your glib ‘amen’ when the word was deliberately used as mockery amidst anti-Semitic spew?
But I’m glad that you got to tell me how little you care, regardless of whether or not you understand what the fuck anybody’s saying.
I think that the phrase is “Oh snap, Wilde?”
Chump.
Not only is it shocking that there are Jews…I’m sorry, I think the preferred term is now “Zionist Likud puppets” in US government, it’s even more shocking that Greek Orthodox George Tenet is one of them.
Am I missing something here, or do people seriously suggest that someone that goes to a synagogue and is in politics is somehow having dual loyalties between the US and Israel?
And if they are, I presume that those same people level the same charge against devout Christians and Vatican State?
Religion is screwed up
People who are anti-Semites, like the poster about 8 posts up, do seriously suggest that.
You’re so cute. Still on the “it’s not my fault I think the Jews are subhuman, it’s their fault” shtick? Go back to Stormfront.
I think that the preferred code these days is “Likudnik”.
Oh, and I was curious about that Tenet thing. Let’s see…
“Jew Watch” (warning, vile racism) claims that Tenet is a secret Jew.
So does Radio Islam. (also vile racism)
I do so wonder what site included the name on that list.
Usually in its fuller form, which I’m surprised to see you eschew in this instance: “Peace on you”.
I’d still like to hear more about this “Palestinians not caring about their children” stuff, if the target of the OP is willing to expound.
And also with you.
I see you are familiar with the ways of my people. Groovy.
Don’t you have another thread to be ignorant in? Or perhaps another bit of shocking stupidity to vomit up?
You want to know about the Palestinians’ views on their children? Exhortations to blow themselves up isn’t a good clue? A culture thatglorifies suicide and violence among the young? A charter that declares that children should be educated towards the end of making war? Textbooks geared to turn children into killers? Or teaching children to be suicide bombers, if not ‘simply’ taking up arms? Serving as logistical support for terrorists involved in war against Israel? How about what goes on at Palestinian summer camps? The PA’s official media glorifying and encouraging children to violence and suicide bombing? Shows like “Pioneers of Tomorrow”, geared to the Sesame Street crowd, which teach violence and used a Micky Mouse clone until international pressure caused the PA to abandon that as bad for PR? You think that’s the only TV program in the Palestinian media that glorifies violence and/or “martyrdom”? Some kindergarten graduation ceremony laughs? Advocating genocide and the rule of Islam over the world? How about how “we must educate our children on the love of Jihad?”
And so on.
Of course there are Palestinians who don’t subscribe to the culture of violence, murder and suicide, but to say that there aren’t serious problems among Palestinian society with children not being cared about other than as living weapons, well…
IOW, Red Fury nailed it.
Part of the solution or part of the problem, dude.
