A few years ago, I started a similar thread about [Glenn Beck](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=586279&highlight=carny). He’s shown every sign of “normalizing” his opinions since leaving the airwaves a few years ago. That said, I think Jones believes his own shtick more than Beck does/did.
