# Alex Trebek diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer

Alex Trebek, host of “Jeopardy!”, one of the most popular and longest-running American game shows, [has announced](https://www.wavy.com/news/national/alex-trebek-announces-he-has-stage-4-pancreatic-cancer/1831380454?fbclid=IwAR3ajjkJk0dCP3FxAdXhlhjhOJuH0MoLv_6yP5ZdQwGSJvvQO7x7xTjzLdM) that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The 78-year-old intends to vigorously fight the disease, and to finish out the season of “Jeopardy!”.

Just posted that in the active Jeopardy! thread. I think this might be better in CS. (Reported for that)

I heard some rumors about something about his retirement due to health reasons last month and Anderson Cooper (ugh) was taking over.
