I had a coworker who was one of 17 kids, and she said the same about her older siblings. They were strangers to her. Another good friend had 20-30 years older siblings, and she and a brother were two oops babies. However, they were a tight-knit Mexican-American family, and she was close to all of them. However, one of her nieces was her age, and they were besties.

My dad was the second youngest of 13 kids. Normally there were only about 5 at home at anytime. They grew up, and got out of the family farm. Moved on.
At a family reunion when I was young, Dads younger sister met one of her older brothers for the first time. She was 42 years old at the time.

My oldest uncle was 24 when his youngest sister was born. For that matter, my wife was 18 when her brother was born.

There’s 17 years between my oldest sibling and my youngest sibling.
My mother-in-law had 26 years between her oldest and youngest siblings.

Well, birds are Assholes. They burrow their way into my garage, and manage to shit directly on the windshield of my car. Flutter around and knock stuff off my shelves, breaking old bottles I find in the desert.

The _MacGyver_ episode that was inspired by the short story, and used footage from _The Naked Jungle_, has been burned into my memory ever since I saw it as a kid.

A typical complaint about The Birds is that there is no big reveal at the ending. Given that the bird attacks are symbolic of the emotional conflicts between the characters, in particular the female characters, ask yourself if the human conflicts have been resolved by the end of the film.
