It got worse. No one can deny that Ridley Scott has made some very influential and enduring movies, but in recent decades he seems to have pretty questionable judgment about screenplays. ---

But of course I wasn’t including T&L in the list of his movies made from lousy screenplays. Seriously, his catalog from the past decade is singularly unimpressive. I happened to think well of 2008’s \*Body of Lies \*(though many others did not), but aside from that it’s a dreary lot. ---

A little T&A doesn’t indicate that the movie is good or bad. Like others, I was burned by how shitty Prometheus was (and, honestly, so many of the various Alien movies have been) that I’m waiting for some good reviews or a night when I’m good and drunk. ---

Looks like the Aliens come from Norway. I knew it!!! Hope this is better than _Prometheus_. I couldn’t even get half-way thru that. ---
