Well, I see that nasy alien is back-eating humans and depositing its eggs in us. My Question: why is Hollywood able to keep this thing going? OK, it was scarey the first time-but what made it bearable was Riply stripping down to her underwear. Anybody planning on wasting $10.00 on this? Let me know if I should wait for it to come out on disc. :mad: ---

I’m just mad we got all the 80s dream match ups (freddy vs jason, alien vs predator) except robocop vs terminator. I liked the first a vs p movie though, i’d go see a sequel. ---

2hrs of nonstop action, who cares what titles they put on the opposing sides if the effects are cool, the cinematography is good (for the purpose), and the stunts are well planned? The effect is entertainment, not whether the film does justice to either set of movies. On that note, of course, using “unknown” opposing sides generates much less interest than “known” opposing sides and putting familiar names on the title. ---

I liked the first one. The second one looks even more likable. I do wish he first one had more Alien vs. Predator action, and the sequel seems to promise that. I’m in. ---

It’s Aliens Vs Predators… It does exactly what it says on the tin. Aliens fight Predators. If you walk away from this movie dissapointed, then you really had your hopes built up too high. ---

The last one was really annoyingly short on actual Alien vs. Predator action. If this one delivers more of that, I’m all for it. ---

In fact, some the books and graphic novels that first depicted it are quite good. So are some of the ones depicting DC heroes(like Batman and Superman) (were there any Marvel ones?) fighting the Xenomorphs and Predators were great. ---

[/QUOTE] Marvel is usually Thor vs Silver Surfer or Wolverine vs. anybody. Course now you got that new Sentry guy (bleah) who’s Marvels’ Superman… Yeah, it’s an old game really, who would beat who. I wonder if kids used to play the Shadow vs. Green Hornet or whatnot? People (ok, a certain type of person) always wants to see their favorites matched up. Superman beats Batman every time ---

Honestly I thought the first one was wretched. I’d watch the second simply for the mindless violence. My biggest problem is it (the first, at least) is nothing like the actual source material. Anyone actually \*read \* the Alien vs. Predator comic from the early '90s? \*\*That \*\* was cool. ---

I’m hoping for an elimination tournament: Alien vs. Predator Freddy vs. Jason Rocky vs. Rambo Superman vs. Batman There would then be another film in which the winner of Alien vs. Predator is pitted against the winner of Freddy vs. Jason. There would also be a film in which the winner of Rocky vs. Rambo meets the winner of Superman vs. Batman. Finally, there would be a movie in which the winner of those last two films fight for the overall championship. ---

Arte the aliens carbon-based /DNA based life forms? They enjoy eating humans (and using us to act as hosts for their larvae). how come our human antibodies don’t kill them? I seriously doubt that they could find us all that tasty-since they thrived in the chlorine-based atmosphere (of that horrible planet where they were found). Why were humans so eager to colonize that planet-was there lots of uranium or something? And : is Sigourney Weaver still hot? She was always finding some excuse to shed her clothes-that was the best part of the movies! 😃 ---

[/QUOTE] They did Batman and Superman versus both Aliens and Predators in the comics (with Superman depowered to fight the Aliens, natch). Aliens and Batman seems to work somehow. i loved Aliens, and Predator was nice. the sequel for Predator wasn’t so hot and it is too bad Aliens stopped at two movies. the movie AvP was bad too. now AvP2 is out and i plan to get advance tickets for it. what can i say? it has _Aliens_. it has Predators. i’'ll be watching Aliens 3 too if they ever make it.
