For a vibrator, I prefer the coil type. Oster and Sunbeam used to make the best of these, but now all I can find is a wahl. Silicone buttplugs are the best, especially our string of pearls. ---

Wow, finally an are in which I have considerable experience. My ex-bf used to buy me these kind of toys for every ocassion (along with standard you-can-show-your-mom gifts). Now I have an extensive collection of toys. I don’t think that it is a substitute for a man, it is like a cherry on the topping. ---

Frankly I’m impressed with the amount of dildos and such that people have. Honestly, for a few months I’ve been looking at them (my husband has rehearsal six nights a week 😃 ) and a good dildo is like $50!!! The one I picked out online as being ‘perfect’ was a hundred fucking dollars! I don’t think I’d be into a vibrator…it seems…not for me. I like penetration as a matter of fact. Another question comes to mind… I DID buy a hard plastic vibe (hey…it was cheap…if she’s into this i will drop 80$ in a second for higher quality toys. Regardless, a thought struck me when i was looking at the “real-skin” type units. How does one clean these things? I read some things that say you should use a condom on them because there’s no real way to sterilize them and prevent bacterial growth. Obviously rubbing alcohol or water would do the trick at getting the gunk off of it, but if it has a “real-skin” type coating on it i would think that would be an absolute sponge for bacteria. Also, if it is going to be used for both anal and vaginal contact the bacterial ante has just been upped. The issue is that my g-friend has a latex allergy. I really wanted a stainless steel vibrator, because it seems like the most sanitary option…but i couldn’t find a good one. Help! -glen ---

That’s part of the reason I stick with silicone. Easy to clean, and I think if you’re really neurotic about bacteria, you can boil 'em for a few minutes or put 'em in the top rack of your dishwasher. You can second that :eek: for me! I haven’t any experience with the “real flesh” type vibes, but I’d suggest asking the person working at the store what you’d use to clean it. They do make a toy cleaner (probably more than one) called ForPlay. You dilute it with water and it’s supposed to sanitize your toys. I find rubbing alcohol is fine – if you can find those pre-moistened alcohol wipes, those are fantastic! ---

damn…looks like i chose poorly, then…shoulda gotten something soft and textured i suppose. I guess it’s what I get for being a first time buyer. Perhaps i will get her that 15" long, 4" thick one they had hanging on the wall.
