I’ve done it!!! After a long, long wait, I have returned to the top of the mountain. My **Monkey Butlers** (inspired by this thread [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=37864)) did it. We were up by 14.7 points heading into the Monday Night game, with Marques Colston and Roddy White, going against Drew Brees. Of course, given my luck, the opponent’s QB would break a yardage record and throw for 4 TDs. But my own guys did just fine. Smells like victory! Who else? ---

It was a difficult year for me in many of my leagues. I was a proponent of a handful of “breakout” players and almost all of them were underwhelming and/or injured. These players spanned most of my leagues and I started the season in the cellar of just about every league. Through some very aggressive and active management of the waiver wire I salvaged most leagues and got into the middle of the pack and challenged for the postseason. In one league, with a pair of backup RBs (Michael Bush and Ben Tate) and makeshift group of QBs that I played matchups with (Andy Dalton, Matt Hasselbeck and Alex Smith) I deftly navigated my way into the playoffs and subsequently won the title this weekend. Congrats, **Omni**. It’s always rewarding when a waiver-wire pickup turns out to be instrumental to winning. My **Monkey Butlers** lost their Rd.1 draft pick - Jamaal Charles - early on, not to mention their QB (Roethlisberger) and I used a committee approach. The final three weeks had a number of WW studs: QB: Timothy Tebow (who did NOT invent kneeling to pray) RB: Reggie Bush WR: Victor Cruz TE: Jermaine Gresham DEF: Seattle (who stunk this week, but got me 30 pts in the semifinals) I crack up, thinking about winning a championship with the Tebow-man. Go Broncos! Go Gators! ---

I was in two Sports Illustrated leagues on Facebook, and won one of the leagues with my Cheeseheads. Of my 8 starters in the championship game, only two (asterisked below) were on my original drafted roster; I picked everyone else up on waivers. QB: Cam Newton RB: Darren Sproles RB: Pierre Thomas WR: Marques Colston \* WR: Eric Decker (yup, I won the championship game while getting 0 points out of one position) TE: Jermichael Finley \* K: David Akers DEF: San Francisco Thank you, Saints, for exploding on offense on Monday night! 😃 ---

Not in any Dope leagues, but I did win my Yahoo money league championship. I thought I had no chance after Romo went out, getting me 0 points from my QB position, but I won anyway. ---
