While Oklahoma may geographically more resemble the Midwest (esp Kansas), it culturally and linguistically has much more in kin with the deep South.

Back in 2001, there was a guy with a theory he wanted to us to believe - it had something to do with G=C\*phi^n (see thread [Has E=MC^2 been replaced by Gravity=Light\*PHI^n? - Great Debates - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=93317)) where G stood for gravity, c was the speed of light, phi was the golden ratio [Golden ratio - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio) and n is the number of times gravity waves recursed or something. How you use this equation to do anything but sound profound next to your blacklight posters and lava lamp was not explained.
“Itself” clearly remembered that thread and its similarity to this one, and he quoted the phi equation - which took me back in the sense of powerfully reminding me of the previous thread - but since neither that equation, nor the equations in this thread are explained clearly, they might as well be the equations that explain time travel

That was before my time here. But wow; that’s some weapons grade gibberish there. At least he was polite and earnest about it (at least as far in as I could stand to read him).
What a strange and probably miserable life it must be to have your head full of a maelstrom of nonsense like that.

I never saw that thread when it was fresh. For those who are curious as I was:
If I’ve searched rightly it’s this (locked) thread from 2014: [How were the pyramids in Egypt built? - Great Debates - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=742823). The geyser guy is not the OP, but is **cladking** who makes his first appearance on page 3 post #104, but he quickly comes to dominate the discussion. The geyser part of his theory first appears on page 4 post #152. He was still going strong on page 50 post #2454 when the mod called King’s X.
His only other SD involvement was to post a “Goodbye and good riddance” thread to ATMB right after that. He’s not been seen since. One loonie down; 99,999,999 to go. Sigh.

Thanks for the link. I had remembered that he had his own physics, chemistry, history, and weather, but had forgotten that he had his own linguistics, too. Admitted up front that he was untrained in any of it, but was convinced that everyone else was completely wrong.

I only sampled the thread (over 2000 posts!) but I see that he invented his own biology, too–when he said he was thinking with his gut, he literally meant that he was thinking with his gut.
