# All my ariel fonts come out italicised!

Well… not _all_, but certainly things that shouldn’t be are. Things like, for example, the row/column numbers in excell, and google results. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that you accidentally have the “Italics” option selected in the appearance settings.

Assuming Windows XP, if you right-click on a blank area of your desktop, and click “Properties” and go to the Appearance Tab, and then click “Advanced” there will be diffferent items listed that you can change the appearance of. Some of these items affect the way text is displayed, and there should be a little button with the “I” on it to indicate whether Italics is on or off.

However, I’ve been poking through them and I can’t seem to find an item that affects the appearance of the Row/Column headings in Excel…
