Recently the Opera browser and YouTube seem to be disagreeing with one another.

Often but (oddly) not always, when I click to go Full Screen the screen fills up _behind_ the rest of the page. The Title/Description Box stays where it is (under what _would have been_ the space for the small screen player) and the list of suggested videos on the right side column stays exactly where it had been. The Full Screen player plays _behind_ all of this.

I can copy and paste the URL to bring up the exact same video with Firefox then click Full Screen and there’s no problem. It’s only a problem with Opera.

More puzzling is that it is not the case with every video. There are some videos for which Full Screen works fine on Opera. I have not been able to determine anything to distinguish videos that will work from videos that will not work.

Also, I had not encountered this problem until this week (I do not remember updating Opera in the past week, but I may have).

Any idea what’s going on here?

I’m running 12.00 with no problem there.

Check on things like plug-ins and ad blockers. Some video-related plug-ins and user scripts don’t work with all versions of Opera.
