God help me, I actually liked [Couples Retreat](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1078940/). I realize that most of this movie was just an excuse to go hang out on a really beautiful island, and some of the plotting was plodding and dull, but darnit if I didn’t identify with Vince Vaughn’s character – a hardworking nice guy who’s a bit of a smartenhiemer who loves his family so much and just needs a break with his wife. It’s like they made a movie about me! I thought the bit at the end where he’s given the donkey statue was great. ---

I also loved the finale to Quantum Leap and the ending of The Dark Tower. And I thought Sucker Punch was a great movie, much more so than Inception. ---

_Waterworld_ Why it got such poor reviews I have no idea. Dennis Hopper is so cool in that movie and Jeanne Tripplehorn in tattered clothes… gawsh she is super beautiful. I think the premise that the whole earth is underwater is kind of plausible, too.
