All right. *sigh* Tell me about these crazy iPod thingies.

Yes the new iPods do have increased battery life and duration between charges. If you don’t need massive space or don’t particularly care about videos, you might want to check out the new Nanos. They’re cheaper, you can get the same amount of space (or more) you had in your old iPod, and they’ve dealt with the fragility issue of the old Nano by putting it in the aluminum casing that was used for the Mini.

I’d do a search on replacing the battery on your 4G. It’ll be substantially less than buying a new iPod.

The benefits to a 5th gen over yours are color screen for photos and videos, slimmer form factor, slightly longer battery life, and about 10 extra gigs of storage (assuming you have a 20 gig 4th gen).

Thanks **Priam ** and wasson.

As far as I am aware the standard iPod headphones are just fairly normal earbuds, maybe a tiny bit better quality than the normal ones. But ever since I invested a few quid in my Etymotic ER-6’s, I haven’t bothered with any other headphones. They’re Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat. They also have a longer than usual cord, so I also got a Sumajin gizmo to adjust it - perfect for every occasion.

It’s really not that complicated. You don’t need to delete it twice. If you delete it on your IPod, it will automatically be deleted from your PC on the next sync (unless you specify not to do so). This works with any PC’s that sync with the device.

Palm software works like this and doesn’t have any problems.
