Thats just me though. > > Hey **sirtonyh** whats _Ichi The Killer_ like? Ive a magazine here with some really sick pictures from that movie… > > And has anyone seen **The Last House on the Left** or **Dark Water**? and are they any good? \*\* [Ichi The Killer](http://us.imdb.com/Title?0296042) is probably the most extraordinary movie I’ve seen in years. On the surface it is a Japanese Yakuza movie based on a manga comic of the same name. At its heart though it is a virtually unique character study of two men; the first (Ichi) is a pure sadist and the second (Kakihara) is a pure masochist. It is undoubtedly one of the most, if not the most, violent film I’ve ever seen but it is also the most inventive which is why I love it so much. If you can find a copy, get it as I promise you will never, ever have seen anything quite like it. You should have a strong stomach and very, very dark sense of humor though. **Last House On the Left** is an OK movie which is more important for its historical significance than anything else. Pretty much every slasher film since the early 70’s owes a huge debt of gratitude to that movie. It isn’t particulary great, has a very low budget and fairly poor acting but it is an example of what can be done by a creative director with very little tools at his disposal. You need a fairly strong stomach for that one too. ---

However, if you think it is going to be too harsh then I’d stay away from it as it will probably be more disturbing than you would imagine. ---
